Hello, 2018!

It’s 2018 and we’re happy to be here with you! The first week or two of the year is hard to wrap our heads around all we want to do, need to do, and hope to do. One of the things we’ve always wanted to do is a team sew-along and one we could also do with our lovely customers if they’re up for it.

The second thing we hope to do this year is to participate in the #makenine2018 challenge. Will you join us? Over the course of the next couple of weeks, we will be sharing each of our goals and what we hope to make throughout the year. Be it clothes, accessories, sewing, or knitting, taking a look at nine, thoughtful pieces you want to add to your life that are, hopefully, gratifying. Certainly, this is primarily based on apparel projects, but we are taking it as we need it, meaning we won’t just be focusing on apparel and you shouldn’t have to either! Need some inspiration? Click here to explore others’ make nine goals.

So what will be our first team sew-along? The latest pattern pack from Anna Graham of noodlehead, Everyday Essentials. Smaller projects that we can complete in an afternoon or two, which can also make great keep one pieces.

Here are some shots from the booklet:

And these are some of the fabrics we are already plotting to use:

We’ll be posting more to share our make nine picks as well as our first sew-along post on the minimalist wallet/petal pouch.

Can’t wait to see you soon!

p.s. if you’re looking for some fun fabrics at fun prices, we’ve marked down a bunch more bolts as we get ready to welcome new fabrics for the year.
