Around town: Where I wish I could be this weekend – School House Craft 2013

Every year something comes up and I can’t make it to what is on my list of major business to-dos: attend the School House Craft Conference. Now in its fourth year, this conference is focused on the small, handmade business owner (both seasoned and aspiring). The attendees and the teachers are, from everything I see and hear, a great representation of what so many of us are trying to accomplish. Do what we love to make a living. So many times creative folks are not always business savvy and being able to learn from the experts can save more than just money but sanity as well.

This year you can also sign up for individual classes in case the whole day isn’t possible.

If you have the chance – please do grab the seat that I can’t get for myself! I love that it’s at the Sunset Hill Community Club too this year. At the end of the day, please come say hi at the shop and go grab a drink along Ballard Ave to bask in newfound knowledge:).
